Description
Louis Rubenstein was born in the town of Medzhybizh, famously the birthplace of Baal Shem Tov, at fifteen he left for Odessa in search of work. Living with two cousins there who were "very much mixing with the revolutionary crowd", he was arrested and imprisoned with them for close to a year.
